What this site knows about you

Shedding Phase is a set of static pages. There is nothing to log into, nothing to fill in and nothing to subscribe to, which removes most of the reasons a website would want your data in the first place. This page describes the arrangement honestly rather than at length.

There is no mailing list

This site does not collect email addresses. There is no newsletter, no sign-up box, no "get updates" field and no lead form anywhere on it. If you ever see one appear, it will be described here first.

The only address involved is ours: if you write to [email protected], your message and your address sit in an ordinary mailbox until the correspondence is finished. We do not add correspondents to anything, because there is nothing to add them to.

What the server records

Serving a page means a web server briefly sees the ordinary things a request carries — the address of the page you asked for, the kind of browser asking, an IP address. That is how any website on the internet works. It is used to keep the site up and to know roughly how many people read which page, not to build a profile of you, and it is not sold, shared or matched against anything.

No advertising network, no cross-site tracking

There are no advertising scripts on this site, no social-media widgets, no embedded videos phoning home, and no third-party tag manager. Nothing here follows you to another website.

The fonts are served from this site's own domain, not from a font provider, so reading a page does not tell a third party what you are reading.

Cookies

No cookie is set from this domain at all. Your browser may still keep ordinary things on your own device — a scroll position, a page you have visited — and clearing your browser data clears them.

The two partner links

Two links on this site are marked as partner links. Following one takes you through a short redirect on this domain and then to the other company's website. From that moment you are their visitor, under their privacy policy, and whatever they record is between you and them. We do not receive your name, your email address or anything else about you — at most, a count of visits sent and, if a programme is ever approved, whether one of them resulted in a sale. The redirect path is excluded from search engines in this site's robots file.

Health, and the reason this page matters more than usual

People read a page about a medicine for private reasons. We have designed this site so that reading it requires you to tell us nothing at all, and so that reading it does not leak to an advertising network. That is not a legal obligation we are discharging. It is the whole point.

Children

Nobody under 18 is the audience for a page about a medicine whose own carton excludes them, and nothing on these pages is aimed at children. We do not ask anyone's age, for the same reason we do not ask anything else.
